This website is a major Centenary of Federation project of Australia's eight government archives. Designed as an engaging and authoritative educational resource, it exhibits and explains the sets of documents revealing the framework of each state, of the Northern Territory and of the Commonwealth. Through these documents you will catch glimpses of the kind of citizenship which inspired many of the men and women whose ideals are enshrined there. As you explore the documents you will also share the sense of taking stock - of asking, in a new century, how closely our lives and our land embody the principles laid out in these constitutional blueprints. |
