An online exhibition providing a transcript of the diary kept by William John Wills from 23 April to 28 June 1861. The Burke and Wills Expedition was significant because it was the first to cross the continent from south to north. It was also notorious because it resulted in the greatest loss of life of any expedition to the Australian interior. |
